In the sponge, a recess with an acute bottom face for placing the soap thereon is prepared on an upper surface of the sponge, and the soap is supported on a side face of the recess, thereby supporting the soap with a smaller surface. The soap is hard to get sodden, and the sponge is easy to be crushed and to drain water with the recess including the acute bottom face.
