Title:
SPRAY MASK WITH LIQUID DRIPPING PREVENTIVE MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0283057
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent liquid from dipping along a spray mask by providing the spray mask with a plurality of sloping grooves on its spray surface and with a guide groove on the end face of a mask opening for carrying off the liquid.

CONSTITUTION: A spindle motor 1 drives a disc 3 to be coated to revolve via a spindle 2. A spray nozzle 4 shoots out the fine liquid particles of a lubricant 6 over the surface of a magnetic disc 3 by compressed air 5 for application thereto. A spray mask 7 is provided with an opening for directing a spray from the spray nozzle 4 on the required application area of the disc surface by a specified pattern. When applying the lubricant over the disc surface, the collected liquids on the surface of the mask are caught by a first groove provided in the surface thereof and automatically carried off thereby to the outside instead of being flowing to the mask opening, thereby permitting a substantial reduction in the mask cleaning frequency.
