To provide a spring pad for a sheet roller press which prevents adjoining cover plates from developing a gap between them in a state where the pad base side of the spring pad for the sheet roller press is wrapped around a roll.

The spring pad for a sheet roller press includes: a pad base 2 wrapped around the roll; coil springs 3 each having a connection portion 3A engageable to the pad base 2 at the lower end and a fixed portion 3B horizontally bridged at the center intersection at the upper end, and disposed at predetermined intervals on the upper surface of the pad base 2 through the connection portions 3A; and cover plates 4 each having a positioning means 5 for fixing the fixed portion 3B at the upper end of the coil spring 3 on the lower surface and an engaging pawl portion 4A engaged to a felt cover F so as to make resilient contact with it on the upper surface, and disposed at the upper ends of the coil springs 3 through the positioning means 5. The cover plates 4 are disposed so that the adjacent cover plates 4 overlap with each other.
