To provide a sprinkling device for an open rack type heat-exchanger to effectively suppress the force of water even when an amount of water, such as sea water, supplied in a trough is increased and effect overflow, in a uniform amount in the longitudinal direction of a trough, of an overflow amount from a trough upper side edge part.
This sprinkling device comprises a trough 2 to effect overflow of supplied water from an upper edge part and cause flow down of it along a panel 7 surface; an equalizing plate 3 arranged in a longitudinal direction in the trough 2 with a distance in the direction of width therebetween; a water supply port 8 opened in the central part in the direction of the width of a bottom 9 of the trough 2; and a diversion apparatus 5 arranged above the water supply port 8. The diversion apparatus 5 comprises a top plate 14 attached to the equalizing plate 3; and shock absorbing plates 15-17 mounted on the equalizing plate 3 and arranged in a layer-form manner at intervals of a distance between a ceiling plate 14 and a trough bottom 9. Submerged weirs 21-23 are arranged at the two side ends in a longitudinal direction of the shock absorbing plates 15-17.
