To achieve a technique which effectively removes spurious generated in a synthesizer transmitter in a wireless communication device.
An MPU 51 sets frequencies fLo1 and fLo2 of first and second synthesizers 31 and 32 so as to obtain a desired transmission frequency fTX and stores a spurious content level output from a comparator 43, into a memory 52. Next the MPU 51 shifts the frequencies fLo1 and fLo2 of the first and second synthesizers 31 and 32 simultaneously by the same frequency and stores a spurious content level output from the comparator 43, into the memory 52. After the end of a prescribed number of times of this processing, the MPU 51 refers to spurious content levels stored in the memory 52 to specify frequencies fLo1 and fLo2 giving the lowest spurious content level, and output frequencies of the first and second synthesizers 31 and 32 are controlled to the specified frequencies.
