Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to stabilize quality by ensuring a uniform surface for a mixture layer, with regard to insulating between the mixture layer and a battery can, and to ensure insulating properties against external forces. The present invention comprises: a charge storage element constituted by a portion where a mixture layer obtained by coating a mixture onto a metal foil is disposed, an electrode body having a metal foil exposed part where the metal foil is exposed, and a collector connected to the metal foil exposed part; one insulating film covering the charge storage element; and a rectangular battery can that stores the charge storage element and insulating film and that has an opening, a bottom surface, and a side surface connecting to the bottom surface. The insulating film has a protruding part that folds back at the bottom surface side of the battery can and covers the charge storage element, protrudes from the charge storage element and faces the side surface of the battery can, and overlaps with the insulating film. A portion of the protruding part abuts a side surface facing a direction in which the insulating film protrudes, and the distal end of the protruding part is arranged in a space between the charge storage element and a corner of the rectangular battery can.
