Abstract:
To provide a perfluorocarbon emulsion exhibiting storage stability in an unfrozen state and rapidly disappearing from the body.
Storage-stable fluorocarbon emulsion comprises a continuous aqueous phase, an effective amount of emulsifying agent and discontinuous fluorocarbon phase containing 50%-99.9% one or more first fluorocarbons and 0.1%-50% one or more second fluorocarbons each having a molecular weight greater than that of the first fluorocarbon and having at least one lipophilic moiety selected from Br, Cl, I and H.
