PURPOSE: To obtain a small size fluorescent lamp which can remove such disadvantage that the wirings are complicated from the point of view of manufacture by making use of the through hole which is provided, in the area along the stacking direction of iron core avoiding the core itself, to the flange of bobbin of stabilizer.
CONSTITUTION: A coil 28 is formed around a bobbin 21 depending on the flanges 22 formed in both ends of core 23 and it is engaged with iron core 29, thereby forming a stabilizer 2. A through hole 25 is provided to said flange along the stacking direction of iron core 29 at the are avoiding the through hole 27 of iron core 29. The electrical wiring passes the base 4, the stabilizer 2 and then passes through the through hole 25 provided to the flange 22 and is connected to the light emission part of lamp 1. The wiring connected to the starter 3 from the light emission part of lamp 1 is further connected to the starter 3 through the hole 25. Therefore, it is not wired along the surface of stabilizer and wiring can be positioned and fixed by the flange 22.
