PURPOSE: To obtain a stabilizing agent for water suspended agricultural chemical containing xanthane gum and sodium montmorilonite at a specific ratio and capable of stably suspending a solid active ingredient of agricultural chemical which is slightly soluble in water for a long period.
CONSTITUTION: Xanthane gum and sodium montmorilonite are jointly used as a stabilizer for water suspended agricultural chemical at a ratio of the latter of 1-7 pts.wt. to the former of 1 pts.wt. Then about 0.2-3.2wt.% of the above- mentioned stabilizer is added to the above-mentioned agricultural chemical containing a solid active ingredient of agricultural chemical which is slightly soluble in water, nonionic surfactant and water to provide the aimed agricultural chemical suppressed in aggregation and separation of the above-mentioned active ingredient, capable of exhibiting good suspension stability also during long-term storage, having excellent re-dispersibility also after long-term storage and safely usable without any hindrance also when used as a spraying agent for controlling insect pest.
