PURPOSE: To stabilize atomization of fuel by a method wherein the fuel is fed to an atomizing nozzle upon a pressure thereof became high enough in a gun type burner in which the high pressure liquid fuel is ejected through the nozzle and is mixed with air to burn it.
CONSTITUTION: When a discharging pressure of fuel is low because of mixing of air, a plunger 24 is moved to the left by a force of a spring 30 to close an outlet port 26 with a valve 28 and to open a passageway 27 with a valve 29 and the fuel is entered into the spring in a valve chamber 22 from the valve chamber 22 through a passageway 27 in the plunger 24, a valve chamber 23 and a returning passageway 31, further, is recirculated into a fuel tank 2 through a returning port 33 and a returning pipe 20. Air mixed in the fuel is discharged into the tank 2 by such a circulation of the fuel and a discharging pressure of the fuel is increased. Next, when the fuel, attained to a predetermined value in a pressure thereof, passes through a pressure regulating valve 32, a pressure in valve chambers 23, 22, at an upper stream side of the valve 32, is increased to move the plunger 24 to the right. Thereby, the fuel from an inlet port 25 is fed to a nozzle 13 through the outlet port 26 and is ejected from the nozzle under an atomized condition.
