Abstract:

To provide a stabilizing processing solution for a photographic material or processing for the material improved in stain generation irrespective of quick processing, excellent in image storagability, free from flaw generation, and with liquid waste volume reduced.

This invention provides a stabilizing processing solution for a silver halide photographic material containing an antimordant comprising a halogenated phenol having a structure expressed by the formula, and a processing method for the material. In the formula, X represents a halogen atom (Cl, Br, F or the like), R1, R2, R3, R4 are same or different groups and represent hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group with 1-3 carbon atoms (methyl group, ethyl group, propyl group, or the like), an alkoxyl group (methoxy group, ethoxy group, or the like), or a halogen atom (Cl, Br, F, or the like).
