To provide a stabilizing solution with which excellent image preservability of a formed image (particularly excellent photobleach resistance of a cyan image) is ensured even when very rapid processing under low replenishment is performed, and to provide a processing method for a silver halide color photographic sensitive material using the stabilizing solution.

The stabilizing solution used in color development processing of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material has a silver ion concentration of 0.8-26.0 mmol/l and contains a sulfinic acid derivative represented by the general formula (I): RSO2M.
