PURPOSE: To obtain an aqueous solution of a fat-soluble substance extremely stable at high temperatures in preservation for a long period and within a wide pH range by blending the fat-soluble substance with polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether and polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil.
CONSTITUTION: The objective aqueous solution obtained by blending a fat-soluble substance, such as vitamin E, K and derivatives thereof with 0.5-5 pts.wt. polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether and further polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil in an amount of 2-20 pts.wt. based on the polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether, dissolving the ingredients while heating, homogeneously stirring the mixture and adding water thereto. The aforementioned aqueous solution is useful as an injection, eye drop, drink and lotion. The fat-soluble substance can be solubilized with a smaller amount of a solubilizing agent by using the polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether and polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil as the solubilizing agent.
