To provide a burner provided with a pipe (1) having a free edge part region structured to be accommodated in the quarl (2) of a furnace.
A pipe (1) is provided with one or more fuel feeding ducts (7) wrapped by a sheath 10 which defines an oxygen feeding channel, is fixed to a flange (12) and covers a part of the fuel feeding ducts (7). A jacket (13) is arranged around the circumference of a part of the edge part region in the direction of length and with this, the jacket (13) itself is accommodated in a quarl (2), and a second oxidizing a gent feeding channel is defined between the jacket (13) and the inner wall of the quarl (2). The jacket (13) is fixed to a flange (14) for attaching to the quarl, and a flange for the sheath is attached to the quarl for the jacket. Applications are for industrial furnaces, especially for the melting, reheating or annealing of non-ferrous metals.
