Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit a stainproof effect by coating the outside surfaces of a stainproof automobile or automotive body with a surface treating material for forming a film consisting of a hydrophilic material. SOLUTION: The outside surfaces of stainproof automobile or automotive body are coated with the surface treating material for forming the film consisting of the hydrophilic material prepd. by using inorg. oxide particles contg. hydrophilic resins, such as silanol, single oxides of alumina, zirconia, cerium oxide, etc., and multi component oxides, such as barium titanate, calcium silicate, water glass, aluminosiliate and calcium phosphate. As a result, water drops are not formed and are formed like water films in case rain water adheres to the automotive body, etc. Since these films have the excellent affinity to the water, the stains are flushed away and, therefore, the visually conspicuous stains are hardly generated and the pickup of the stains is decreased.
