An insertion hole 23 is formed in a front end part of a holder 8 attached to an operation lever, a drive body 24 is slidably held in this insertion hole, and the drive body is brought into pressure-contact with a cam face 10 of a case by the spring 25. A pair of guide grooves 23a extending in the direction of axial line are formed on both upper and lower ends of an inner peripheral face of the insertion hole, and the guide grooves are positioned in a plane orthogonal to the direction of slide for the cam face of the drive body. On the other hand, a pair of guide projections 24a extending in the direction of axial line are formed on an outer peripheral face of a first drive body, and these guide projections are inserted into the guide grooves in the insertion hole by keeping a minute clearance. If this stalk switch device is constituted in this way, the drive body slides in the insertion hole without causing a rickety motion when the operation lever is turned and operated between a neutral position and an indicated position.
