Abstract:
PURPOSE: To bind recording papers in a desired position and to produce a recording paper bundle with high efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: A recording paper 43 conveyed in from an conveying-in direction 47 by conveyance rollers 32 and 33 is brought into contact with a given gate 35, having an end part situated downstream of a conveyance direction and protruded from the holding surface of a support plate 36, by a paddler 34 and held by a support plate 36. Further, end parts, extending in parallel to a conveyance direction and positioned facing each other, are matched with each other by a jogger 37. When the given number of recording papers 43 is laminated and held, upper and lower staple units 39 and 40 arranged in a separated state with the support plate 36 nipped therebetween are operated, and a staple is driven from one surface of the recording paper 43. The tip part of the stable protruded from the other surface of the recording paper 43 is bent by the clincher part of the lower staple unit 40. A produced recording paper bundle 44 is conveyed out in a conveying-out direction paralleling the conveying-in direction.
