PURPOSE: To prevent a coupling capacity from reducing when a vehicle is started repeatedly, and also prevent durability in a starter from reducing.
CONSTITUTION: A starting device is provided with a magnetic coupling, a starting clutch member 14 for receiving rotation of an engine through the magnetic coupling at the time of engaging and for transferring the rotation to a transmission gear, a transmission clutch member 15 which is disengageably arranged and directly receiving the engine rotation at the time of engaging to transfer the rotation to the transmission gear, and a radiator. The magnetic coupling consists of an annular permanent magnet 32 which is formed by alternately arranging magnetic poles different from each other, and a coil 33 which is arranged opposing to the permanent magnet 32 at a little clearance, and the coil 33 and the radiator are connected to each other. An eddy current which is generated by means of relative rotation between the permanent magnet 32 and the coil 33 is supplied to the radiator, converted into heat energy by the radiator, and then discharged.
