Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the starting operation of a shielding machine and shorten the term of work while ensuring the safety of operation.
CONSTITUTION: Internal segments 2 are assembled inside external segments 1 constituting a tunnel at the position of the starting of a shielding machine in the tunnel, the internal segments 2 are organized rotatably while the starting opening section 21 of the shielding machine is formed, and, on the other hand, the starting section of the shielding machine is constructed in low strength in the external segments 1. A cutter section is positioned in the starting opening section 21 of the internal segment 2, the shielding machine is installed, and a space in front of the cutter section is filled with fillers. Pressure capable of resisting external earth and water pressure is applied to the fillers, the internal segment 2 is turned, the starting opening section 21 of the internal segment 2 is superposed to the low-strength section of the external segment 1, the fillers and the low-strength section are excavated by the cutter section, and the shielding machine is started from the inside of the tunnel.
