Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enlarge an irradiation field and quantify uniform beam for X-ray beams obtained from a collimater for a static method in a static radiation treatment apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: While X-ray beams are flattened by a first flattening filter to be radiated from a X-ray target 6, a beam amount is concentrated in the central part to smaller the irradiation field and the size of uniformized beams when the X-ray passes through a spot-like collimater aperture 3a of a collimater 3 for static method. Then, a cone-shaped second flattening filter 10 is provided in the collimater aperture 3a to smaller the peak of the central part and flatten the peak.
