PURPOSE: To facilitate an increase in the filling density and increase the amt. of water added and to make it possible to obtain a stable shattering effect by putting a mixture contg. an active granular substance consisting of a granular quick lime, an inactive non-porous granular substance and an inactive porous granular substance in a container which can be shattered.

CONSTITUTION: A static shattering agent wherein CaO is a main component is obtd. by putting a mixture contg. an active granular substance consisting of a granular quick lime (with a particle diameter of about 1-30mm), an inactive non-porous granular substance (e.g. a silica sand, a natural sand, or a ground stone granule) and an inactive porous granular substance (e.g. an artificial lightweight aggregate, a foamed concrete particle, or a lightweight brick) in a container (e.g. a cylindrical body made of a plastic film, a paper, a fibrous cloth, etc.). As dense packing becomes possible by placing the inactive granular substance among the particles of the active granular substance wherein quick lime is a main component and an addition, a part of the inactive granular substance is a porous granular substance, the density of the static shattering agent becomes high and a proper amt. of water can be ensured stably. Therefore, labor for filling the shattering agent can be reduced and in addition a high power can be exhibited.
