PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a station service apparatus capable of efficiently changing over a processing mode in the station service apparatus, and a program.SOLUTION: A station service apparatus according to the present embodiment includes an optical reader, an apparatus-side radio communication unit, and a processing unit. The optical reader optically reads information from an image displayed on a medium. The apparatus-side radio communication unit wirelessly communicates with a medium-side radio communication unit provided in the medium and reads the information from the medium. The processing unit changes over a processing mode on the basis of the information read by the optical reader and processes the information read by the apparatus-side radio communication unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
