Abstract:
To provide an office side termination device and a route changeover method, capable of restoration to a state before a changeover without causing a packet loss, if a need to halt a wavelength changeover operation arises during the wavelength changeover operation.SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of termination devices includes: a changeover buffer; a subscriber side termination device distribution unit which transmits, to the changeover buffer, a packet destined to the subscriber side termination device of a changeover target, the termination device being connected to one or a plurality of the subscriber side termination devices through the respective routes of transmission lines; and a termination device distribution unit which transmits a received packet to a termination device in which the subscriber side termination device of the packet destination is registered. On the occurrence of a route changeover, the termination device distribution unit transmits the packet, which is destined to the subscriber side termination device of the changeover target, to a changeover source termination device and a changeover destination termination device. Each subscriber side termination device distribution unit of the changeover source termination device and the changeover destination termination device transmits the packet destined to the subscriber side termination device of the changeover target to the changeover buffer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
