Abstract:
To provide a means and a method capable of quickly and surely storing a required system status and recovering it in a change to a power stopping mode.
Status data from a circuit 2 (a processor core or a memory) are stored in a memory 14 via system buses 4, 6, 8, and 10 under the control by a status storage controller 16. The status data are captured in a scan chain 12 given for a product test inside the circuit. The scan chain gives respective bits to a multi-bit status storage data language to store them in the memory via the system buses.
