To provide a steam cooker having simple construction for preventing soil on a box-side door due to the leakage of dew condensation water.
The steam cooker comprises a body casing 10 including a steam generator for generating steam and a heating chamber 20 for heating heated objects with the steam supplied from the steam generator. On the front face side of the body casing 10, the door 12 is arranged to be turned around its the lower end side for opening/closing an opening portion of the heating chamber 20. On the door 12 at the side of the heating chamber 20, a sectionally U-shaped packing 105 is arranged whose lip portion 105b contacts the front face of the body casing 10 near the edge of the opening portion of the heating chamber 20. The opening of a recessed portion 105a of the sectionally U-shaped packing 105 is directed to the side of the opening portion of the heating chamber 20 in the state that the door 12 is closed. In a region opposed to the lower edge of the opening portion of the heating chamber 20 in the state that the door 12 is closed, the front end of the lip portion 105b of the packing 105 is located higher than the lower edge of the opening portion of the heating chamber 20.
