To provide a steam generator capable of preventing occurrence of various failures caused by deposition of impurities by using water obtained after removing impurities in generation of steam.

This steam generator is provided with a steam generating means for generating steam in a bathroom and a water softener arranged between the steam generating means and a water supply pipe for supplying water for generating steam, removing impurities included in tap water, and supplying it to the steam generating means. The steam generating means is provided with a nozzle and a heat exchanger to generate steam in the bathroom by spraying small amount of water from the nozzle for the heat exchanger or generate steam in the bathroom by spraying water into the bathroom from the nozzle directly or generate steam in the bathroom by diffusing hot water into the heat exchanger from a diffusion means.
