Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam iron that is simple in structure, safe, thermally efficient and lightweight.
SOLUTION: A preheating circulating passage 32 is formed in an iron body 1 by omitting a preheating pot vacancy portion, steam is made to flow in the preheating circulation passage 32 to heat the iron body 1. A branch passage 31 that can be made to communicate and cut off by an operating valve 7 is arranged along the vicinity of the trowel side 2, steam is ejected from many steam jet nozzles 3 on the iron's face 2 through the branch passage 31 during steam ejection when the operating valve 7 is in an opened state.
