Abstract:
To provide a steam sterilization apparatus of a simple structure capable of enhancing an exhaust speed of air and steam to reduce a processing time.SOLUTION: A steam sterilization apparatus includes a sterilization tank 2 for housing a sterilization target, a water-sealing type vacuum pump 12 for sucking and discharging a gas in the sterilization tank 2 to the outside, a first water supply line 15 for supplying water into a casing 13 of the vacuum pump 12, a second water supply line 17 for supplying water into a gas discharge line 11 from the sterilization tank 2 to the vacuum pump 12, and control means. The control means controls the vacuum pump 12 and switches both the water supply lines for supplying seal water of the vacuum pump 12. Preferably, the first water supply line 15 is used for supplying water when discharging air from the sterilization tank 2, whereas the second water supply line 17 is used for supplying water when discharging steam from the sterilization tank 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
