Two units of IN-OUT type buncher strander are linked interlockingly with each other, and (k) wires 10 are stranded together by the 1st strander into a 1st strand 1, which is then bundled with (m) wires prepared separately from the 1st strand nearly in a parallel fashion into a 2nd strand 3, which, in turn, is fed to the 2nd strander where (n) wires 40 are entwined around the 2nd strand 3 to obtain the objective steel cord with two-layer structure. The other objective automotive radial tire is obtained by using these steel cords in at least part of the belt or carcass of the radial tire.
