Title:
STEEL FOR ENAMELING AND ITS PRODUCING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3770038
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide steel for enameling by which the reduction of surface blemishes and the prevention of fishscale defects can be simultaneously achieved. SOLUTION: (1) This high oxygen extra low carbon steel contains fundamentally, by mass, ≤30 ppm C, 70 to 10,000 ppm Mn and 400 to 900 ppm O and further contains at least one kind of elements selected from 3 to 40 ppm Al, 20 to 240 ppm Si and Ca and/or Mg of 1 to 25 ppm in total. (2) The ratio of the Mn (mass ppm) to the O (mass ppm) after vacuum decarburizing the treatment (Mn/O) is controlled to 2 to 19, and then the concentration of at least one kind of element among 3 to 40 ppm Al, 20 to 240 ppm Si and Ca and/or Mg of 1 to 25 ppm contained in total concentration is adjzasted. (3) a solid electrolytic oxygen sensor is used for the measurement of the O concentration in the molten steel performed at the time of the vacuum decarburizing treatment and the sensor has no coating over the sensing part.
