Abstract:
To provide a steel pipe pile capable of eliminating reinforcing operations at sites and having a sufficient strength against a load and a bending moment applied from a building thereto.
In this steel pipe pile 1, a pile head section at the upper end is inserted into a footing 11. By a heat treatment, the strength of the upper section of the steel pipe pile 1 is 1.2 to 3.0 times that of the other sections. Since the upper section of the steel pipe pile 1 including the pile head section is reinforced beforehand, additional reinforcing operations at site such as the excavation of a ground and the washing of the steel pipe pile which have been required for reinforcing the pile head section 1 can be eliminated.
