The end portion of the tubular pile body 10 is helically cut along the approximately overall outer periphery of the end portion, and the helical bottom plate 11 serving also an excavating blade is welded to the helically cut end face of the pile body 10, the bottom plate comprising an annular disc having a diameter about twice as large as the diameter of the pile body 10 and having therein a radial cut that reaches the center of the disc, with the disc curved to extend along the end face.
