PURPOSE: To keep the outdoor external surface of a roof at atmospheric temperature and prevent snow from lying thereon by covering both sides of a steel plate used for the roof of a house or the like at least with one type of ceramics.
CONSTITUTION: Both sides of a steel plate for a roof are coated with heat- insulation ceramics, and the external surface thereof positioned outdoors is further coated with ceramics having high thermal conductivity. Then, the ceramic coat layer is made to have such thickness as not adversely affecting the workability of the steel plate. As a result, a roof having not only a flat plane but also a curved plane can be fabricated. Furthermore, the surface of the ceramics coat layer is smoothed as much as possible to prevent the stagnation of snow thereon. According to this construction, the steel plate can be prevented from being heated with room heating, and the steel plate can be kept at atmospheric temperature, thereby preventing snow from melting and lying on the outdoor external surface thereof.
