Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel plate straightening method for straightening a steel plate by passing it at least once through a roller leveler where rolls are arranged in a vertical zigzag manner.SOLUTION: There is provided a method where a residual stress target value in a longitudinal direction after the straightening of a steel plate is set, and when a straightening condition is set so that a residual stress after the straightening of the steel plate, which is calculated by using the amount of residual stress change between the pre-straightening and the post-straightening as well as a residual stress before the straightening, can be the residual stress target value, a value obtained by using a flexural strain of the steel plate at the time of the straightening as the amount of the residual stress change shall be a value corrected by using a tensile force that acts on the steel plate.
