To provide a steel sheet for a welded can, which has superior weldability, corrosion resistance, appearance and transportability as a material to be manufactured into a can.
The steel sheet with superior weldability, corrosion resistance, appearance and transportability for a welded can, comprises a base sheet having dimples of 0.20-2 μm deep and 10 to 10,000 μm2 wide of 5 to 70% by an area rate on the outmost surface, an Sn plated film or a discontinuous Sn plated film with the weight of 0.1 to 10 g/m2, and a chromate conversion coating consisting of one or more of metallic Cr and hydrated Cr oxide with the weight of 2 to 150 mg/m2 in terms of metallic Cr. Furthermore, the steel sheet with superior weldability, corrosion resistance, appearance and transportability for a welded can, comprises a base sheet having dimples of 0.20-2 μm deep and 10 to 10,000 μm2 wide of 5 to 70% by an area rate on the outmost surface, an Sn plated film with the weight of 0.1 to 10 g/m2, a part of which is then alloyed by tin melting treatment, and further a chromate conversion coating consisting of one or more of metallic Cr and hydrated Cr oxide with the weight of 2 to 150 mg/m2 in terms of metallic Cr.
