Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent salt water from entering into equipment through a large diameter side boot fixing part of a steering boot.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a steering boot in which a large diameter side boot fixing part and a small diameter side boot fixing part at both ends of a bellows part are fitted to each of a housing and a tie rod of a steering device and each of the boot fixing parts is fastened only with a boot band and fixed. The outer circumferential surface at the end part of the housing 5 is provided with an annular flange 9 and in turn, the large diameter side boot fixing part 3 comprises a boot band fixing part 10 more inside the flange 9, fitted to the housing 5 and fixed to the housing 5 by a boot band 14 and a bellows part side end part 11 for relaying a bellows part 4 riding over the flange 9 and arranged more outside of the flange 9 and the boot band fixing part 10. The inner circumferential surface of the bellows part side end part 11 is provided with a slant surface 12 abutted against at the entire circumference to an edge part 9ci of the flange 9 near the boot band fixing part and pressing against it.
