Abstract:
To provide an automotive steering box capable of accurately controlling Ackermann geometrial arrangement irrespective of the place of an outside tie rod ball joint.
In an automotive steering box for a light work truck or other automobile, a function generating means 21 is provided for accurately controlling Ackermann geometrical arrangement by individually controlling left tie rod links 22 and 24 and right tie rod links 23 and 25. Irrespective of the positions of outside ball joints 26 and 27, the box is used in place of a conventional rack and pinion steering device.
