To provide a steering column device which suppresses rattling between a stationary jacket and a movable jacket, and enhances assembly property of the jackets.
The steering column device includes a rotating cam 17 having an approximately disk shape provided on an end of a bolt 5 in a locking mechanism and positioned in a movable jacket, and a fixed cam 16 fixed to an outer circumference of a stationary jacket 3 and having a flange 16f extending in a circular arc along an outer circumference of the rotating cam 17. Cam projections 16e, 17a are respectively provided on the cams 16, 17 to be in contact with each other. The cam projections 16e, 17a are positioned such that the cam projections 17a on a rotating side extend between the cam projections 16e on a stationary side when the jackets are assembled.
