Abstract:
To provide a steering column support structure which enables improvement of support rigidity of a steering column while securing impact absorption performance.SOLUTION: A steering column support structure includes: a main member 10 extending in a vehicle width direction; a steering support 20 which includes a front bracket 21 which supports a steering column 50 in a hanging manner and in which the front bracket 21 is joined to the main member 10; an upper brace 30 having a main part 31 joined to the main member 10 and the front bracket 21 and a butted part connected to a front end of the main part 31 and coupled to a vehicle front member 60; and a lower brace 40 joined to a front end of the front bracket 21 and the butted part 32. When viewed along the vehicle width direction, the front bracket 21, the main part 31, the butted part 32, and the lower brace 40 form a box shape. The main part 31 is provided with a fragile part 311 which may deform the main part 31 in a vehicle vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
