Abstract:
To improve steering feeling of a steering device.SOLUTION: A steering device 100 includes: an output shaft 4 which rotates in response to steering of a steering wheel 1 by an operator; a pinion gear 11 which rotates with the output shaft 4; a rack shaft 12 which has a rack gear 12a which engages with the pinion gear 11 and turns wheels 6; a biasing mechanism 20 which biases the rack shaft 12 to the pinion gear 11; and a rack case 15 which houses the biasing mechanism 20. The biasing mechanism 20 has: a pressure pad 2120 which is housed in a housing hole 15a formed at the rack case 15 and contacts with the rack shaft 12; a joint member 30 which supports the pressure pad 21 in a tiltable manner; a spring 40 which biases the pressure pad 21 to the rack shaft 12 through the joint member 30; and a cylindrical part 51 which guides movement of the joint member 30 along a biasing direction of the spring 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
