Title:
STELLITE DEPOSITING MACHINE FOR BAND SAW
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59191571
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To deposit automatically stellite on a band saw by providing a mechanism for transferring the band saw by one tooth by rotating a cam shaft, grasping the depositing part thereof with a backing plate for shaping then feeding a stellite wire and depositing the stellite on the tooth.

CONSTITUTION: As a cam shaft 2 rotates, the 1st cam 3 oscillates an oscillating arm 7 and a band saw 1 is transferred by one tooth by means of a feed pawl 9. An operating arm 24 is then oscillated by the 2nd cam 4 and a grasping and shaping member 12 is turned via a rod 25, a screw shaft 20 and a nut 18 to grasp the sawing tooth to be deposited on the band saw 1 by the backing plate for forming at the top end thereof. A limit switch LS is further turned on by the 3rd cam 5, by which a motor M is run forward so that a stellite wire 27 is fed by a feed roller to press the tip of the wire to a tooth tip 1a. A welding torch D operates to deposit the stellite on the sawing tooth of the saw 1. The operating efficiency is considerably improved and the homogeneous deposition is accomplished.
