Thus, the printer 1 repeatedly executes a platemaking operation and a printing operation by reading the plurality of the documents by the reader 2 before the platemaking operation, converting the original images of the respective originals to image data in response to the mode, storing the data in the memory 56, and sequentially calling the data in the memory 56.
