Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correct printing density automatically in regard to a working state and to execute stencil printing with a desired density irrespective of the working state by a method wherein a pressure contact force of a press roller against a plate cylinder is set variably in accordance with the working state of a stencil printer detected, including a non-working period of the printer, the number of printed copies during the working at one time, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A working state detecting mechanism 105 for detecting a working state including information as to whether the current time is just after the start of printing or not, information on the number of printed copies during the working at one time, etc., is connected to CPU 200. In order to meet a printing density of set information on the printing density which is stored in RAM 220, the CPU 200 judges synthetically a printing speed, a printing ink temperature and the working state of a stencil printer and controls a pulse generator 50A to determine the number of pulses to be supplied to a pulse motor 50. When the printing density is set by a printing density setting key in the direction in which the printing density becomes large, the number of pulses supplied to the pulse motor 50 becomes large, a pressure contact force of a press roller against a plate cylinder becomes large and thereby the printing density is made large.
