The stencil printer identifies the kinds of drum units 11-14 mounted to a device body 100A, by a drum unit identifying means 30, measures a not-in-use time in which the printing operation of the same drum unit continuously mounted to the device body is not performed, by a mounted not-in-use measuring means 32, controls the operation of a display means 115 to display contents to urge setting of an ink reset operation mode by an operation key 116 when the measured not-in-use time exceeds a preset reference time, and carries out the ink reset operation when the ink reset operation mode is set by the operation key 116.
