To solve a problem of conventional stencil printing such as offset, or spoilage at the time of starting after leaving to stand for a long period.
An ink layer 3 is provided on one side surface of a base material 2. The layer 3 is a solid ink layer at the ambient temperature by dispersing solvent soluble coloring material ink in a layer forming material such as resin. A surface of the layer 3 is covered with a film 4. A printing surface of a printing sheet 5 is covered with solvent 6 for dissolving the ink. The film 4 of a stencil printing original plate 1 is engraved by a thermal printer head. An engraved part 7 is formed on the film. The film 4 is brought into contact with the surface coated with the solvent 6 of the sheet 5, and the both are pressurized. The solvent 6 of the sheet 5 is transferred from a perforated part 7 of the film to dissolve part of the layer 3. The ink of the layer 3 is transferred from the part 7 to the sheet 5. Since the ink of necessary amount is transferred to the sheet, a printed matter having no offset is obtained.
