PURPOSE: To obtain a step-out preventing device of a structure such as not to generate step-out by providing an idle running area that enables circular motion when a moving object reaches the terminus of a guideline.

CONSTITUTION: A record groove 1 is traced by a record needle 2. In this case, the record groove 1 becomes a guideline and the record needle becomes a moving object. The terminus of the guideline is the very end in existing records. Accordingly, the terminus of the groove 1 is released and this part is made an idle running area. The noise 'botsu, botsu' made at the time of termination that can be called a step-out phenomenon at the terminus generated in the existing records can be thus dissolved.
