Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain a layout design corresponding to existing parts, to improve the appropriation rate of the existing parts, and to decrease the amounts of the newly developed parts by displaying a connection enabling area, and arranging a connecting point in the area.
CONSTITUTION: A frame suited to a chip side is retrieved from a frame library 4 by a frame retrieval inputting part 5, and read in an WD preparing device. Next, an area where the pointing point of each pad can be arranged, that is, the area where a wiring error is not generated by a wiring rule check part 7 at the time of arranging the pointing point of the pad in the area, is displayed on a display by a pointing enabling area display part 11, so that the position of the pointing point of the pad can be decided corresponding to the read frame. Then, the pointing point of the pad is arranged in the pointing enabling area by a pad editing part 12. At the time of the pad edition, the movement, copy, and erasure of the pad is interactively operated by using a mouse. The above- mentioned display and edition is operated to each pad.
