PURPOSE: To prevent the heat generation of a motor and the reduction of the torque of the motor with a simple circuit by a method wherein the temperature of a stepping motor is detected by a temperature sensor while the width of the driving pulse of the stepping motor is controlled so as to respond the result of the detected temperature.

CONSTITUTION: A stepping motor 1 and a temperature sensor 2 are integrated to measure the temperature of windings of the stepping motor 1. A microprocessor (MPU) 3 for controlling the operation of the whole of the title controller is provided to drive the stepping motor 1 by sending a signal to a stepping motor drive circuit 5 through an output port 4 and read out the measured temperature information of the temperature sensor 2 through an A/D converter 6. The feedback of the temperature information to the driving of the motor is effected by measuring the temperature of the stepping motor 1.
