Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the tap coefficient of a filter, to miniaturize the filter, to reduce cost and to speed up an arithmetic processing by adding a desired acoustic characteristic to an original signal by using the linear synthetic filter in which the linear prediction coefficient obtained by the linear prediction analysis of the impulse response showing an acoustic characteristic is made a filter coefficient.
SOLUTION: An acoustic adder 28 for performing a sound image localization by the acoustic filter using a linear prediction coefficient is composed of acoustic characteristic addition filters 35 and 37 and filters 36 and 38, etc., eliminating the acoustic characteristics of the headphones of left and right channels. The acoustic characteristic addition filters 35 and 37 are composed of IIR filters 54 and 55 to which frequency characteristics are added by using the linear prediction coefficients, delay parts 56 and 57 imparting pitch and the time difference, etc., till the characteristics are attained to and left and right ears by the inut means, and amplifiers 58 and 59 individually controlling gain at an output stage. The filters 36 and 38 are composed of the FIR filters using the linear prediction coefficients. A filter coefficient selection means 39 performs the selection settings of the filter coefficients within each filter parameter, pitch/delay time and gains, etc.
