Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device capable of improving the quality of an observed stereoscopic image.SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image display device includes a first display element, a second display element, a first optical element, and a second optical element. A plurality of pixels are arranged in the first display element. A plurality of pixels are arranged in the second display element, and the second display element is arranged so as to overlap the first display element. The first optical element is arranged between the first display element and the second display element, and in the first optical element, lenses extending in a direction inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction or the transverse direction of the second display element at an angle other than 0 degrees are arranged periodically. The second optical element is arranged between the first display element and the first optical element, and emits light of a first polarization direction among light emitted from the first optical element, toward the first display element.
